Salted Caramel White Russian

This Thanksgiving cocktail makes one drink and can be easily doubled in a standard shaker to make two. White Russians aren't a light cocktail so I add some milk in with the cream in order to help cut through some of the calories. If you prefer the traditional way then full cream is the way to go. I thought this turned out really great -- the caramel vodka blended nicely with the Kahlua and this was incredibly easy to make just as everything else in our Thanksgiving meal was wrapping up. I also appreciated that I had all of the ingredients on hand already and didn't need to add anything to the shopping list.

Recipe adapted from The Sweetest Occasion

Ingredients:
-1 1/2 ounces caramel vodka
-1 ounce Kahlua
-1 ounce heavy cream
-1 ounce 1% milk
-1 tablespoon caramel sauce
-Coarse ground sea salt (to garnish)

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, vodka, Kahlua, cream, milk, and half of the caramel sauce. Shake well. Add the remaining caramel to the bottom of your glass of choice, add ice, and top with the cocktail. Garnish with the salt.
