Salted Nutella Latte

I love "fancy" coffee while Dave enjoys his black. It's disappointingly rare that he'll add sugar or a flavoring to his coffee. I thought this latte would be nice to sip during our Christmas decorating.

Slightly adapted from the Faux Martha.

Ingredients:
-3/4 cup milk
-1 scant tablespoon Nutella
-1/2 teaspoon sugar
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
-a pinch kosher salt
-2 oz. freshly brewed espresso

In a microwave-safe cup, heat milk, Nutella, sugar, vanilla, and kosher salt for 1 1/2 minutes, stirring halfway in between. Remove from the microwave and pour into a mason jar with a lid. Shake the jar vigorously or until the milk is frothy. Pour over the freshly brewed espresso. Enjoy!

It's not a perfect latte, our apartment is far too small for us to own a frother for lattes, but I think shaking the milk turned out pretty good. Heating up the milk and nutella helps the nutella blend into the milk smoothly. Overall this was sweet, but not too sweet with a complementing saltiness.
