Slow Cooker Apple Cake
The next three days of recipes were served at the last game night Dave and I hosted at our apartment. This is the dessert, perfect for a dinner party because you can just put everything into the slow cooker and then focus on making dinner + a cocktail.
-1 can (20 oz) apple pie filling
-1 box yellow cake mix
-1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
-1/2 cup cinnamon chips
-1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
-Vanilla bean ice cream
Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Spread the apple pie filling on the bottom. Dump the yellow cake mix on top. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top. Sprinkle with the cinnamon chips and walnuts.
Cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Serve with vanilla bean ice cream.

This cake was amazing. The cinnamon chips had melted slightly, everything was perfectly warmed and the cake had a nice crumbly texture that was creamy at the same time. This was best served with vanilla ice cream too cool down the cake a little and to add additional flavor.
