Spinach Dip Bread Bowl
This is a recipe my mom has been making and taking to parties for years. I made it with her this time and I was surprised to find out that this great dip we had been having actually is just the recipe that comes on the back of the vegetable soup box. You can also find the recipe online here. This is really easy to make and there are only a few ingredients, but it doesn't taste like a simple recipe from the back of a package.
Ingredients:
-1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, cooked, cooled and squeezed dry-1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
-1 cup mayonnaise
-1 package dried vegetable soup mix
-Round loaf of bread
Drain the spinach. |
Add sour cream and mayonnaise. |
Add in the soup mix. |
Mix everything together. Keep in the refrigerator for a few hours, right up until the time you plan to serve it. |
Carve out small chunks of bread from one side and add the dip to the bowl right before serving. Serve with the pieces of bread or crackers. |
I've always liked this recipe, and is a great way to bring something fancy to a party, but doesn't require a lot of effort.
