Strawberry Lemon Sangria
It's snowing in Ohio...again. It feels like we're never going to reach spring at this point. This sangria...it will take you all the way to summer. Sangria is one of our favorite drinks to make because there are so many ingredients and mix-in options. This sangria has a great flavor and the colors really pop.
Recipe from Kitchen Treaty. (How cool is this blog?!? All recipes have a meat/veg option to them, I love it.)
Ingredients:
-2 lemons, thinly sliced
-1 apple, cored and sliced (any kind)
-1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced lengthwise
-1 750 ml bottle white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay)
-½ cup white rum
-4 cups lemon-lime soda
Mix together the lemons, apples, strawberries, wine and rum. Refrigerate for four hours. |
Add the lemon-lime soda before serving. |
This sangria had a nice light flavor, very similar to lemonade. Overall the drink wasn't too strong, this is the kind of thing that you could have a few glasses of and still be alright. It would be fantastic served in the summer.
