For a unique spin on a fruit salad, try making one of these stacked salads. This was pretty easy to do, and it is easy to substitute whatever fruit you like. A few weeks ago Alecia made a
Stacked Pear Salad similar to this one. Apples and peaches are two of my favorite fruit, so I used them instead. This recipe comes from
Tales of a Kitchen. The sauce that went with it really worked with the flavors of the fruit.

Ingredients:
-Apple
-Peach
-1/4 cup chopped pecans
-4 Tbsp honey
-3 Tbsp lemon juice
-1 tsp cinnamon
|
Mix the ingredients for the sauce, the pecans, honey, lemon juice,
and cinnamon in a bowl. |
|
Cut the peaches and apples into slices. Cut out the middle. |
|
Alternate apples and peaches, putting the sauce in between. |
This was a little hard to eat, but it tasted really good. It looks pretty fancy, but was easy to put together, it only took a few minutes to mix the sauce and cut the fruit.
