Spaghetti Dinner
This grilled cheese was inspired by leftovers from pasta night that were sitting in my fridge. It might sound crazy to put spaghetti on a grilled cheese, but the flat bread is the best vehicle for this grilled cheese because it isn't too much bread -- it makes you feel less guilty about all of the carbs on the sandwich. Add whatever toppings you'd like. These were all things that I already had in my fridge and pantry.

Cut the flat bread in half. Spread melted butter mixed with garlic powder onto what used to be inside of the flat bread, will now be the outside. Spread pesto on top. |
Add shredded mozzarella. |
Spaghetti with marinara. |
Parmesan cheese. Add more mozzarella cheese. |
Top with the second piece of flat bread, pesto smeared on the inside, garlic butter brushed on the outside. |
Cook in a skillet until golden brown. |

I thought this sandwich was fantastic, it had everything that I love about pasta night all in one convenient sandwich. I cooked the pasta al dente so that added texture to the sandwich along with the crispiness of the flat bread. The pesto went well with the marinara sauce and the garlic butter added additional flavor to all of the ingredients.
