Sweet Waffle Grilled Cheese
Those of you who are regular readers of the blog are not surprised that anything can be used as a vehicle for cheese or that anything can be grilled to make a delicious sandwich. This sandwich takes Belgian waffle quarters, use whatever recipe you'd like to use or if you don't feel like cooking, use some frozen waffles.

Ingredients:
-Belgian Waffle quarters
-brie
maple sugar glaze
-3 tablespoons maple syrup
-3 tablespoons brown sugar
Melt butter in a skillet. |
Sandwich brie, I did mine without the rind, you can leave it on. Cook until crispy on both sides. |
To make the maple glaze, heat the syrup and brown sugar in a skillet until thickened. |
Pour the brown sugar glaze over your sandwich. |
This was really good, the saltiness of the brie went well with the sweetness of the maple sugar glaze. This needs to be eaten with a fork, the maple sugar glaze is really sticky. Otherwise, very easy to make and very delicious. This is a pretty sweet sandwich, I would recommend serving it as a dessert not as a breakfast dish.
