Purple, Green and Gold Mardi Gras Cocktail
The original used King Cake Vodka, but we subbed the vanilla vodka and almond flavoring.
Other Mardi Gras Recipes:
Crock Pot Cajun Gumbo
Vegetarian Muffaleta Sandwich
Ingredients:
-2 oz vanilla vodka
-1/2 tsp almond flavoring
-.5 oz fresh lime
-.5 oz fresh lime
-1 tsp sugar
-1 oz orange juice
-1 oz pineapple juice a handful fresh mint leaves
-1 oz orange juice
-1 oz pineapple juice a handful fresh mint leaves
-purple sprinkles (we mixed red and blue food coloring with sugar)
We mixed all of the ingredients with ice in the blender. Rim the glass with lime juice and sugar, and top with sugar and mint leaves.
This was really good, it didn't taste like alcohol. It was easy to see all of the distinct colors, so it would be great to serve at a party. The orange juice and pineapple juice were a nice combo together, and made a pretty good yellow color when blended with the ice for the drink.
