Buffalo "Wing" Style Cauliflower
I've mentioned before that I work in a restaurant and we serve a lot of boneless wings. I may not eat boneless wings, but I love buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Both pair great with celery or with french fries so when I saw this recipe for vegetarian style boneless wings I had to try it. This recipe is perfect for vegetarians who have a buffalo sauce craving and for non-vegetarians who are looking for healthy tailgating options because boneless wings might be great, but they're not healthy and after enough rounds of wings that will have an effect. You can check out the original recipe from the Curvy Carrot here.

Ingredients:
-1 cup buttermilk
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-2 teaspoons garlic salt
-1 cup buffalo sauce
-1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
This recipe makes a lot! I cut the recipe in half and still had enough on my plate that I needed to eat this for leftovers the next day (trust me, that was not a problem).
Preheat the oven to 450.
Mix together the buttermilk, flour and garlic salt.
Cut up bite sized pieces of cauliflower. |
Coat in the cauliflower in the flour mixture. |
Spread in a single layer on a lined baking sheet. You may want to spray the baking sheet in non-stick spray. |
Cauliflower with coating. |
Bake for 15-18 minutes. |
Toss in buffalo sauce and melted butter. |
Bake for 6-8 more minutes. |
Serve with celery and blue cheese. |
Delicious! |
Alecia, great idea! Thanks for joining in the veggie fun today. Cheers
