Brie and Jam Tartelettes

This is the first recipe of the Valentine's Day 2015 series. There will be an appetizer, main course, salad and dessert/drink. All taste great in combination, but can be made individually or paired with other courses as well.

I made this appetizer with two different kinds of jelly, you can use any type that you like, but red helps to keep with the Valentine's Day theme. I used a store-bought strawberry jelly for half and a homemade sangria jelly for the other half.

A Vegetarian & Cooking original.

Ingredients:
-1 package phyllo cups (15 cups per package)
-4 ounces of brie cheese
-Jelly or jam of choice (you'll need 7 or 8 tablespoons)

Fill each phyllo cup half with jelly and half with brie. All the phyllo cups.

Bake at 300 for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and shells are crispy.

These were great appetizers, because they were mini it was easy to enjoy a little snack prior to the meal without going overboard. These are pretty light since they only have a little bit of brie in them. Both flavors of jelly were good, but I think I preferred the strawberry it was more mellow than the sangria jelly.
