Barbecue Grill Brownies

This was just so cute, and was really perfect as a dessert to a grilled lunch at the beach. Sometimes these fancy decorated cupcakes scare me away because I think they will be too time consuming. This one was pretty easy and didn't take too much skill. The decorations probably took about the same amount of time as it would have to have just spread frosting.

This recipe comes from Spoonful.

Ingredients:
-1 box brownie mix + eggs and oil called for on the box
-Orange sprinkles
-Black frosting
-Fruit slice candy to make the kebobs shapes
-Mike and Ikes (or hot tamales) to make the hot dog shapes

Cut the fruit slices into about 5 pieces.
Thread the on a toothpick.
Bake the brownies into cupcake liners.
1 box worked really well to make 12 cupcakes. You have to
just check on the baking times since there are no instructions
with brownies for cupcake size, but I did about 25  minutes,
a few less than the time for a 9x13 pan.
Add the orange sprinkles for the glowing coals.
I just used a gel tube of black frosting to make 3 or 4 lines on
each cupcake.
Top with a candy kebob.
Use a red candy to for the hot dogs.
I used a toothpick to take a bit of the black gel frosting and
spread on the top so the hot dogs had grill marks.

Everyone who ate these enjoyed them and thought they were cute. They were something that looked like a lot of work and planning, but weren't really that hard to make.
